Walking in the Garden in June
Summer has arrived and the garden has changed from the early April days when it was full of snow. The flowers are changing weekly and even the small and not so small critters are out and about. (Last week I saw frogs and a large wild turkey) The gardeners have been busy clearing the paths after our spring storms and adding new wood chips to the paths so we know where it is best to walk.
The summer is the perfect time to walk the garden and look for surprises. There is something new to find around every corner. What do you think we will find around this corner?
Can you write a poem or a short story that will tell us what we might see as we continue to walk through the garden? Who or what is waiting around the corner? Is it a scary story or a funny one?
Once you have written your story, send it to [email protected] and I will post them on the Garden Learning Blog this summer.
Hope to hear from you soon.
